It is the mission of IRC.CoolChat.Net to provide an environment that supports
freedom of speech for our users.
It is against our policy, and desire, to control the content of discussion on any
IRC.CoolChat.Net IRC channel.
It is ultimately the purpose of IRC.CoolChat.Net (and IRC in general) to promote enjoyable
interactions without limiting the personal freedom of any individual or group, no matter what their interest.
That "freedom" requires respect in that some people may be
offended with topics of interest. Discretion with regard to channel modes may be required.
IRC.CoolChat.Net only logs connections, commands issued to our services programs, and channel traffic in official
network channels (such as #help).
IRC.CoolChat.Net will not protect users engaging in illegal activities while using our network and, upon subpena, those
logs will be made available to law enforcement officials. Please understand that individual users or your ISP may or may
not be
logging anything you type.
If your intent is to harrass users or administrators of our network, expect to be treated in kind!
IRC Operators on this network are charged with keeping servers connected, and re-routing to control lag. They do
not police channels, nor engage in channel politics.
If you have a problem with a person, or channel, your problem is with
them,
not our network. IRC.CoolChat.Net is a common carrier of thoughts and ideas. Holding the network, as a whole,
responsible for those
thoughts
and ideas is as ridiculous as harrassing a paper mill for something printed in a newspaper.
